2004 Hallmark Awards

A highlight of our Annual All-Star Invitational is the presentation of the Hallmark awards for outstanding service to CBCC and our mission of raising funds for cancer patient care, education and research programs at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Children's Memorial Hospital. Congratulations and thank you to Rich Greve, our 2004 Hallmark Civic Award recipient, and to Pepsi, our Hallmark Corporate Award recipient.

2004 Hallmark Civic Award

Richard M. Greve

Richard Greve is a Chicago native who grew up on the South Side and attended Mt. Carmel High School and IIT. He now lives in Palos Heights with his wife, Marge. They have two daughters, Shannon and Courtney.

Rich's career in energy services spanned two decades with Johnson Controls before he formed his own business, RMG Energy Consultants, Inc. in 1994. He now brings personal attention to utility management and making heating and cooling systems efficient at prominent institutions such as Children's Memorial Hospital.

With this award, we honor Rich for his devotion to worthy causes. He has played a part in establishing several fundraisers, including the United States Olympic Golf Classic (14 yrs), the Illinois Masonic Hospital Golf Classic and the University of Chicago/Wyler Children's Hospital Golf Outing. He has also helped organize the Mt. Carmel Alumni Golf Classic, the University of Illinois International Invitational, the Dennis J. Kiley Memorial, and the Fred Garcia Schoalrship Foundation.

For more than 15 years, Rich has teed up at the Chicago Baseball Cancer Charities outing. The event tied together his passion for sports, his hometown, and making a difference for kids. Two years ago, Rich joined CBCC's committee with the intention of raising awareness of the charity. His first achievement in this role has been to successfully bring CBCC to the internet with the development of this website.

The Chicago Baseball Cancer Charities would like to recognize Pepsi and Pepsi Americas as this year’s recipient of the Business Sponsor Hallmark Award. Pepsi has been supporting the CBCC golf outing over the years. They have contributed generously by providing foursomes, merchandise and by refreshing our thirst out on the links with assorted Pepsi beverages.
